Creating a Campus Visual Language

Art Direction
As Creative Director of Nutmeg Publishing, I was responsible for developing the visual identity of each semester’s magazine. For this issue, centered on student jobs, I drew inspiration from the everyday objects, signage, and ephemera that define campus life. The design language captures visual references of student work environments, translating familiar details into a cohesive publication that the students relate to. To represent the range of student jobs at UConn and the large student working population on campus, I created a series of recognizable emblems that capture the energy of its students.
